What We Believe

                                             An open bible

God At The Heart Of Everything We Do

We believe that God is the creator of heaven and earth, and

that we are made to worship Him.

As a church body, we hold to the following statement of

beliefs.

We believe in the Trinitarian God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe in Sola Scriptura, (scripture alone,) the Bible is Gods

unchanging, unerring word.

(2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe all have sinned and are deserving of Gods righteous

judgement,

(Romans 3:10)

but that God loves mankind so much, that He sent His Son to save

us.

(John 3:16, Romans 5:8)

We believe in the virgin birth, that Jesus was born of woman and of

the Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:35)

We believe that Jesus came to redeem the 'lost'; to save all who

accept Him.

(John 1:12, Colossians 1:13-14)

We believe Jesus came to save us from our sins and to bring us to

eternal life,

(John 3:16)

and that every believer needs to be born again.

(John3:3)

We believe that Christ was crucified, was buried and on the third

day rose from death,

(1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

and that He ascended to Heaven and will return for those who

believe in Him and will bring us into Gods holy presence (Heaven).

(John 14:1-4, Matthew 26:7)

We believe that Jesus left the Holy Spirit to guide us and that He is

Gods presence on earth and that He is the teacher and comforter

to the believer.

(John 14:26)

We believe in the manifold gifts of the Holy Spirit and their purpose

and use in the Body of Christ, His church.

(1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

We believe there is one church of God and understand that although

we may differ on doctrinal issues, we all have a role in the

Body of Christ.

(Ephesians 4:4-6)

We believe in baptism, being performed by full immersion.  It is the

responsibility of each believer to be baptised in water when they

can fully understand the meaning of repentance of sin.

(Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe the act of Holy Communion brings the Body of Christ

together in remembrance of what Jesus did for us on the cross,

bearing our sins and making a way for us to enter the kingdom of

Heaven and to be reconciled to God.

(1 Corinthians 11:23-29, 1 Corinthians 10: 16-17)

We believe the the body of believers are the church, not the

building,

(1 Corinthians 12:12-18)

and that each of us has a part within the Body of Christ

(1 Corinthians 12:27)

with Jesus as the head of His church.

(Ephesians 5:23)
